Dr. Virginia Varga, Dayton, OH
Expert in infant and toddler products and curricula. She is founder, administrator, and director of Gloria Dei Montessori School in Dayton, OH. Ginny is an internationally known infant and toddler specialist. She began the first Montessori Toddler Class in the United States in 1966. A member of the school consultation team of AMS since 1966, she served on the AMS National Board of Directors from 1964-1972. She has BS in education (University of Dayton) and an AMS/AMI credential (Greenwich). Ginny was recently inducted into the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame.

Carole Wolfe Korngold, Scarsdale, NY
Nationally recognized leader in Montessori education, with more than 30 years professional involvement. She is the founder of the Center for Montessori Education/NY (CMTE/NY), which has trained more than 4,000 Montessori Teachers to date. Sylvia Onesti Richardson, M.A., M.D., D.Litt. (Hon), Tampa, FL
Distinguished Professor of Communication Sciences & Disorders, and Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida. She received her B.A. from Stanford University, the M.A. from Columbia University, and the M.D. from McGill Faculty of Medicine. She is a pediatrician, certified speech-language pathologist, and a certified Montessori teacher (AMS & AMI, 1962). She has been President of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), the Multidisciplinary Association of Clinical Education (MACE), and the Florida Branch of the IDA. She has been Chair of the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities. Among her many honors, she has received the LDA Learning Disability Award, the Honors of the ASHA, the Samuel T. Orton award from the IDA, and the Distinguished Alumni Award from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is known both nationally and internationally as a lecturer and consultant.

Bretta Weiss, Albuquerque, NM
National director emeriti of AMS and served as president and board member of the Council for American Private Education, Washington, and DC. She is Editor of the AMS School Management Guide. Bretta was co-leader of the Montessori delegation to the citizen ambassador program to the People’s Republic of China; leader to Warsaw, Moscow, and Budapest); U.S. faculty, on the U.S./China conference on education and the conference on early childhood education. Bretta works with the U.S. Department of Education, policy makers, and educators. She co-chairs CMTE/NY's Heads of School Montessori Training Program.Rita Messineo 3626 Exuma Way, Naples, FL 34199

Rita Messineo
Started the first Montessori toddler class in the United States in 1966, at Gloria Dei Montessori School in Dayton, Ohio. She has worked as a toddler teacher and 3-6 teacher at the South Suburban Montessori School. Rita presents workshops and does consultation for Montessori teachers, parents, and schools. She received her infant and toddler certification from the Assistenti Infanzia Montessori in Rome, Italy and holds an AMS early childhood credential (MMTTC).

Gerald Londin, Scarsdale, NY
Gerry Londin comes to LTROL with a rich background in Finance. After attaining his Masters degree in Business Administration and Taxes, he spent many years dealing with corporate financial affairs, both while working at C.P.A firms and by working directly with publicly-owned companies. Most recently, Gerry was the Senior Vice President and C.F.O. for a large market research organization, where he was in charge of General Accounting, Treasury, Internal Audit, and Tax Filing. He assisted in the sale of the firm to an international conglomerate.

Marie Dugan, Wilmington, DE
Founder and Director of the Wilmington Montessori School, DE. Marie M. Dugan was the Interim Executive Director of the American Montessori Society in 2004. She is currently the Chair of both the AMS Centennial Campaign Committee, the AMS Archives Committee and the Keynote Committee for the Montessori Centennial Conference in 2007. She is a former President of AMS, former Accreditation Commission member and former Chair of the AMS Heads of Schools Section, serving on the Board of Directors of AMS for 13 years. She is currently the co-representive to the United Nations as an NGO. Marie was the Head of the Wilmington Montessori School in Wilmington, Delaware for 25 years. She is currently an Educational Consultant, serving CMTE/NY and AMS in both independent and public schools.
